Brooklyn LASIK

Having a vision impairment of some kind is not at all uncommon. In fact, many people live with some kind of vision problem that they must contend with every day. Having a vision impairment means that the quality of your eyesight is not up to speed or at least not at 20/20 capability. In order to achieve the quality of vision that you need in order to get around in your daily life, you likely need to rely on some form of vision correction whether it be prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. But not everyone is cut out for the use of these tools, especially people who do not necessarily like having to continually update the prescriptions and fill their supply. Here at Leading LASIK Center New York we may be able to provide you with an alternative solution. With Brooklyn LASIK you may be able to achieve clarity of vision without having to rely on any optical tools at all.

There are many ways in which you can achieve the 20/20 vision, but there is only one way in which you can do so without having to rely on glasses or contacts in some way. Most vision impairment problems come from issues that arise in the overall shape of the cornea. The cornea is the clear curved portion of the eye that rests just over the pupil. The cornea acts very much like the lens of a camera in that its curvature and clarity both affect the way that light filters through it thus affecting the quality of the image produced. A person with perfect vision will have corneas that are evenly domed shaped whereas someone with a vision impairment may have differently shaped corneas instead. For instance, someone who is farsighted will have corny as that are flatter than normal, thus making objects in the foreground much more difficult to see due to blurry vision. Other vision impairments will differ in the overall shape of the cornea, but in general, these differences will be what alters the quality of your eyesight. Instead of relying on prescription lenses that provide your eyes with an additional magnified lens through which to see through, Brooklyn LASIK uses advanced laser technology to slice through your cornea in order to reshape it instead. Here at Leading LASIK Center New York our eye doctor can closely examine your eyes in order to determine whether you happen to be a good candidate for this procedure.

LASIK surgery has progressed significantly over the years and it has become easier to perform as well as more successful and reliable. The only issues with LASIK however is determining whether you are a viable candidate for this procedure, for instance people who have corneal abrasion’s or other problems with their eyes may not be eligible for this procedure because there is a question of whether they will heal properly. But otherwise, most people are eligible for this vision correction procedure and they benefit from Brooklyn LASIK greatly. If you are interested in this procedure than simply call us here at Leading LASIK Center New York today.
